EVER!<\/p>\n<p>First off, the name alone means it&#8217;s gonna be great.\u00a0\u00a0Cookery?!\u00a0 &#8216;Nuf said.\u00a0 Sooooo much more romantic than plain, ole&#8217;\u00a0American &#8220;cook-ing&#8221;.\u00a0 And it&#8217;s filmed in Gordon Ramsey&#8217;s\u00a0converted barn in some English countryside manor-home somewhere.\u00a0 And it\u00a0stars GORDON RAMSEY!<\/p>\n<p>Hell,\u00a0they could&#8217;ve called it Ripper Street Cookery Course (have you noticed that anything having to do with Jack the Ripper is still really HOT across the pond?\u00a0 Weirdos.), but if it&#8217;s\u00a0filming from Gordon&#8217;s\u00a0window-y, converted barn AND Gordon is the star?\u00a0 I&#8217;m in.\u00a0 No questions asked.\u00a0\u00a0I can&#8217;t get enough of his sensitive Yorkshire Ruffian persona.\u00a0 But that may just be me.\u00a0 I also think pirates are hot.<\/p>\n<p>I digress.\u00a0 Back to best idea.\u00a0 EVER!\u00a0 He&#8217;s gonna teach me!\u00a0\u00a0Little ol&#8217; jobless, home mom me\u00a0(what up, what up!\u00a0 Home Mom keepin&#8217; it real in C to the O), how to\u00a0gain cooking\u00a0confidence.\u00a0 AND?\u00a0 He&#8217;s gonna share with me his top 100 recipes to make me a much better cook.<\/p>\n<p>OMG!!!\u00a0 Now I&#8217;m feeling like the\u00a0screaming Beetles fan of cookery courses,\u00a0all worked into a tizzy.<\/p>\n<p>Simple, accessible recipes and Gordon&#8217;s gonna be &#8220;holding me by the hand&#8221; the whole way. (mmmmm hmmmmm &#8211; I am not\u00a0opposed to accessible hand holding, you ruffian!)<\/p>\n<p>But first off, he&#8217;s gonna teach me\u00a0some quick tips on de-heading and de-boning our own salmon filet.\u00a0 Whaaaaaa??!\u00a0 Whaaaa the fuhhhhhh?!??<\/p>\n<p>Ok, he pronounced it fih-lETT which is super cool, but I already KNOW how to de-head and de-bone a salmon fih-lETT.\u00a0 It&#8217;s called going to Whole\u00a0Foods and\u00a0buying it de-headed and de-boned from the man-in-the-soiled-apron\u00a0behind the counter.<\/p>\n<p>[do you remember that Meatloaf song &#8220;I Would Do Anything for Love, But I Won&#8217;t Do That&#8221;?\u00a0 Well, now it&#8217;s stuck in my head and my version goes like this: &#8220;I would do anything to cook with Gordon Ramsey, but I won&#8217;t do THAT!&#8221;]\u00a0 We don&#8217;t do THAT in this country, Gordon.<\/p>\n<p>So that segment was a bit of a bust, but we&#8217;re moving on to making spicy, home-made chutney you can keep in your icebox (Icebox?\u00a0 Did you catch that?\u00a0 Aaaaaahhhhh!\u00a0 And CHUTNEY???\u00a0 AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!\u00a0 How quickly we transform from disillusionment back into\u00a0screaming cookery superfan).<\/p>\n<p>The whole chutney\u00a0scene takes up most of the rest of the segment.\u00a0 Stiiickky.\u00a0 SpiIIICY.\u00a0 CHUTNEY!!<\/p>\n<p>And when it&#8217;s done?\u00a0 Gordon lusciously serves&#8230;a tablespoon of it with\u00a0three slices\u00a0of ham on a plate.<\/p>\n<p>Whaaaaa?!\u00a0 A tablespoon of sticky, spicy chutney served alongside three slices of rolled-up ham\u00a0on a plate??\u00a0 Are you shi**in&#8217; me, Gordon?!?<\/p>\n<p>This is why you folks lost the war.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Have you seen this show?\u00a0 It&#8217;s the best idea.
