We’ve got a new rule in our house.\u00a0 If you are under the age of 10, it’s a week-end\/other day off, it’s morning and\u00a0you’re up?\u00a0 Please stay in your bedroom with the door closed until the clock shows eight-zero-zero.\u00a0 And\u00a0try to be vewy, vewy qwiet.<\/p>\n

The good mommy is trying to catch up on her sleep.<\/p>\n

She’s the first one in the house who’s up in the morning and the last one to bed at night\u00a0and when she has some time to sleep in, she wants to sleep in!<\/p>\n

If she doesn’t get a chance to sleep in, then mean\u00a0mommy comes to roost and all\u00a0Lenten Promises<\/a> fly right out the window.<\/p>\n

I don’t know why the midgets-who-live-here have such a hard time sleeping in anyway.\u00a0 It’s virtually impossible to get them out of bed at 6:30 am on a school day.\u00a0 Yet all of a sudden – when there’s a day off – they’re up BEFORE 6:30?!?\u00a0 It’s like some weird snow day clause\u00a0goes into effect and the excitement over having a day off and NOT having to get up\u00a0means you have to…what else?!…get UP!!!<\/p>\n

So.\u00a0 Hopefully this new rule will lead to quieter, more relaxing\u00a0week-end mornings.\u00a0 No more yelling “turn down the t.v.!!!” or “stop fighting over the remote!!” or even “close your door because I can hear ALL the rocket ship noises\u00a0AND\u00a0the sound your legos make as you\u00a0scrape\u00a0through them to build MORE rocket ships!!!!!”<\/p>\n

And yes,\u00a0you can go all the way down to the basement to watch t.v..\u00a0 As long as the\u00a0basement door is closed and the t.v. is turned down low and there’s no fighting over the remote!\u00a0\u00a0A big thank you to you,\u00a0Midget #1, for seeking this clarification on the what-can-we-do-on-a-Saturday-before-eight-zero-zero rule.\u00a0 AT SIX-THREE-ZERO!!!<\/p>\n

And Midget #2?\u00a0\u00a0You are super cute with your\u00a0“I haven’t seen you all night and wanted to come give you a kiss” stuff.\u00a0 BUT IT’S NOT EIGHT-ZERO-ZERO YET!!!!<\/p>\n
