Sometimes I\u2019ll come across her facetiming her geometry bestie and they\u2019re GIGGLING while working their way through homework.<\/p>\n
What the what?!?<\/em><\/p>\n Supplements and complements to angles? High-larious!<\/em><\/p>\n Congruent polygons? What a gas!!<\/em><\/p>\n Direct and indirect proofs??! Nuthin\u2019 better, num, num num!<\/em><\/p>\n Is this our brave new world? Is this the new world order?!\u00a0 Has the earth shifted on its axis and highschool girls in the 21st<\/sup> century really LIKE geometry??\u00a0 Because back in the 20th<\/sup> century, highschool girls hated the beshizzle out of it.\u00a0 So much so that we had to spend our entire geometry class ignoring\u00a0whatever nonsense was going on at the front of the room and instead\u00a0talk about our perm-on-top-of-already-curly hair.\u00a0\u00a0(This in turn got one of those olde timey chalkdust filled erasers whipped by the geometry teacher at our aforementioned curly hair.\u00a0 That makes a girl\u00a0hate\u00a0geometry for more reasons than one.)\u00a0 And geometry homework time?\u00a0 Had to be spent weeping loudly at the kitchen table.\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 Way, WAY more crying over geometry back in the 20th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n Sissy\u2019s geometry mystery prompted me to gaze deeply at her textbook (in case each problem was followed by a delicious chocolate treat or something which would explain my puzzlement away).<\/p>\n And this is what I found.
