When Sonny got home from school yesterday, his invitation to Cotillion Academy was waiting.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHey Sonny, here\u2019s your invitation to Cotillion Academy!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cotillion Academy \u2013 or as I call it: Fancy Manners School \u2013 must have a camera trained on Sonny.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>And they must know that he is the ONE boy in all the kingdom who really SHOULD go to Fancy Manners School.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>In particular the \u201cFifth Grade Program: Minding Your Manners At Home\u201d being offered in the lovely, just-received invitation which seems random and out-of-the-blue, but isn\u2019t.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Because the camera reveals all.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Except\u00a0when I said that thing all excited-like about \u201cHey Sonny, here\u2019s your invitation to Cotillion Academy!\u201d his immediate and emphatic response was, \u201cNo!\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>NO!!!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And without breaking stride, Sonny moves right into his afterschool routine, getting a snack and telling me all about his day, in particular how he and three of his buddies did parkour during recess. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When I asked if the whole parkour thing was just a big, huge excuse for jumping over the school fence so they could dare each other to pee once they were on the other side, Sonny\u2019s after-school drink shot out of his nose and all over the floor.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ok, two things here: 1) Methinks someone hit the parkour pee scenario right on the nose and 2) Yep.\u00a0 Yeppy yeppers.\u00a0 Cotillion Academy, here we come.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
