[NOTE: So as to preserve anonymity,\u00a0I will be referring to my son as ‘Sonny’ throughout this blog.\u00a0\u00a0I just didn’t want you to think I actually NAMED him Sonny.\u00a0 I’m wacky.\u00a0 But not that wacky.]<\/em><\/p>\n

I was at Kohl’s yesterday\u00a0(What?\u00a0 Don’t look at me like that!\u00a0 I had to buy Sonny\u00a0a jacket and was using Kohl’s Cash to do it.\u00a0 STOP\u00a0\u00a0IT!\u00a0 I said<\/em> don’t look at me like that!!!) and I ran into my sister-in-law (who works full-time and always has in addition to being a mother of two).\u00a0 She\u00a0was shopping on her lunch hour.<\/p>\n

ME:\u00a0 Well…hello!<\/p>\n

HER:\u00a0 Hi!\u00a0 What are you doing here?!<\/p>\n

ME:\u00a0 Getting a jacket for Sonny.\u00a0 See?\u00a0 [holding up awesome jacket\u00a0chosen by awesome mom]<\/p>\n

HER:\u00a0\u00a0Ooooh – he’s gonna love it!\u00a0 So…is this what you do now?<\/p>\n

ME:\u00a0 Hey!\u00a0 I spent the morning dusting and vacuuming.\u00a0 I deserve to spend an hour\u00a0at Kohl’s shopping!<\/p>\n

HER:\u00a0 So, be honest.\u00a0 How are you liking the stay at home mom thing?<\/p>\n

ME:\u00a0 I am totally, totally loving it!\u00a0 Totally.<\/p>\n

HER:\u00a0\u00a0Good.\u00a0 And it sounds like the kids are loving it too.\u00a0 When I was talking to Sonny last week at dinner he was telling me that\u00a0he’s so happy you’re a stay at home mom now.\u00a0 I asked him\u00a0why and he said,\u00a0” ’cause\u00a0now I don’t have to go to\u00a0school if I’m sick.”<\/p>\n

As always, her\u00a0aim is perfect.\u00a0\u00a0Right through the heart.<\/p>\n

But on the\u00a0plus side, I finally have a point!\u00a0 Stay at home mom\u00a0me<\/em>\u00a0finally has a point!!!\u00a0 And I didn’t really even have to do anything to earn it.\u00a0 Well – except take that shot through the heart in the middle of Kohl’s.\u00a0 A little blood got on the Kohl’s Cash.\u00a0 Speaking of which,\u00a0I did end up spending a teeeeensy bit more than the Kohl’s Cash covered.\u00a0 On\u00a0a shirt for myself.\u00a0 To\u00a0cover up that gaping wound in my chest.\u00a0 And unless you’re looking at the blood seeping through my new shirt, you better STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!!!!<\/p>\n
