Sissy was puzzled about why this friend would know all about the incident since we hadn\u2019t seen the friend in some time.\u00a0 So we explained that I had blogged about it, and the friend had read the blog.<\/span><\/p>\n

You could just see Sissy\u2019s thought process from there:\u00a0 Sonny is a complete APE and he gets blogged about?!\u00a0 And I\u2019m the best girl who ever lived and no one says \u201cboo\u201d about it??\u00a0 Oh the injustice!\u00a0 \u00a0Unfair\u2026UNFAIR!!!\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But that\u2019s the way life is. \u00a0Do-good\/are-good, straight-A students who are great at every sport they ever play sometimes\u00a0go unnoticed.\u00a0 Trust me, I know of which I speak.\u00a0 Wink, wink.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bless our\u2026er\u2026their good-girl overachieving souls, but sometimes the bad-boy shock factor makes for a more interesting clusterbomb story.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However, the concern has been duly noted.\u00a0 And\u00a0to balance out the blog, and\u00a0show her how much I love her, I will now talk about Sissy\u2019s most embarrassing moment.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We were at the airport waiting to board a plane.\u00a0 I was sitting in the waiting area.\u00a0 Hubby was in line near the gate.\u00a0 Sissy and Sonny were off doing their own thing.\u00a0 (Hey!\u00a0 I was watching them.\u00a0 But letting them burn off some energy a goodly distance away from me.\u00a0 I may have been giving off an I-don\u2019t-know-who-those-kids-are-but-they-must-have-terrible-parents-to-let-them-run-around-like-that sort of vibe.) <\/span><\/p>\n

Then I see Sissy break away from Sonny and go up to a completely strange man sitting in the boarding area reading a book.\u00a0 I wondered what she\u2019s doing, but before I could react, she puts her chin on the man\u2019s shoulder.\u00a0 And the arm she had been snaking around his neck drifts up to rub his bald head.\u00a0 Back and forth.\u00a0 Back and forth.\u00a0 She asks, \u201cWhatchya readin\u2019, Dad?\u201d\u00a0 And then the man whose-head-she’s-been-rubbing turns towards her.<\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t Dad, was it?\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Nope.<\/em>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So Sissy stumbles away like she\u2019s been kidney punched; she\u2019s shaky on her legs and her mouth is open in a silent \u201coh!\u201d of utter shock.<\/span><\/p>\n

I thought it was hysterical.\u00a0 Then again, I\u2019m mean like that.\u00a0 But I did tell the man we were, \u201cso sorry.\u201d Not really because that was totally funny.\u00a0\u00a0I\u2019m still laughing.<\/em>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But see?\u00a0 Good girls DO sometimes have bad stories.\u00a0 And that head rubbing, watchya reading trick?\u00a0 Hang on to that one, Sweetie.\u00a0 Because that\u2019ll come in handy when you get to college.\u00a0 That\u2019s when good girls usually go bad. <\/span><\/p>\n
