You\u2019re welcome!\u00a0 Don\u2019t mention it.<\/span><\/p>\n

And yes, it was in my head the whole day too, so we\u2019re even.<\/span><\/p>\n

I even took it a step further and posed the question to the kids, \u201cIf they made a song about you\u2026and about what you say\u2026what would be \u2018your saying\u2019 that they would sing about?\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Sissy replied that they would sing, \u201cMunga, Munga!\u201d about her.\u00a0 [Ok.\u00a0 I can see that pretty much this WHOLE blog is going to need an explanation.\u00a0 So here goes: When she was little, she called all four of her grandparents (and Dick Cheney), Munga, Munga.\u00a0 Don\u2019t ask any more about it.\u00a0 I can\u2019t give you further explanation.\u00a0 Especially that part about Dick Cheney.]<\/span><\/p>\n

Then \u2013 unprompted \u2013 she proceeds to say that what they would sing about me is, \u201cGet started on your homework!\u00a0 Get your homework started!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Really?\u00a0 Really<\/em>??!\u00a0 This is the ONE thing they would sing about me?\u00a0 Clearly I\u2019m going to have to step up my nagging game and move into more well-rounded hassling territory to include room cleaning and dog walking.\u00a0 Challenge on.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Hubby she said the song would go like this, \u201cSports, sports, basketball, sports.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Uhh\u2026ok.\u00a0 He clearly has the same challenge I do: Become a little more well-rounded in his annoying conversational topics.<\/span><\/p>\n

About him, Sonny said that they would sing, \u201cHe gives his mother Knife Fists!\u201d and as he\u2019s saying that, he moves in quickly and gives me a series of Knife Fists to my ribs.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At this point you\u2019re saying to me, \u201cHmmm\u2026 what ARE Knife Fists?!\u00a0 They sound like loads of fun!\u00a0 Do explain!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ok.\u00a0 Will do!<\/span><\/p>\n

My husband started the whole Knife Fists thing.\u00a0 I think he did it so that we could be prepared to defend ourselves should Ninjas attack.\u00a0 And I\u00a0\u2013 thinking that Ninjas only attack under cover of darkness \u2013\u00a0initially thought they were called Night Fists.\u00a0 Until it occurred to me that when someone is conducting this technique on your personage, it feels like KNIVES in your ribs.\u00a0 Light bulb.<\/span><\/p>\n

But that whole explanation is useless unless I describe for you HOW to make your OWN Knife Fists.\u00a0 To make up for getting that song stuck in your head (frog goes croak\u2026and the elephant goes toot\u2026ducks say quack\u2026and fish go blub\u2026<\/em>), here\u2019s a do-it-yourself guide to Knife Fists:<\/span><\/p>\n

You extend your hand like you would for a handshake.\u00a0 (Note: For ease of explanation, I will be describing how to conduct Knife Fists with your right hand.\u00a0 But you would follow the same instructions for your left hand.\u00a0 And in fact you would want to involve BOTH hands simultaneously for maximum effectiveness.\u00a0 It is Knife Fists plural, after all.\u00a0 Although traditional \u2018fists\u2019 are not actually involved.)\u00a0 So your hand is extended, but instead of having some space between each finger, you clamp them together as tightly as possible.\u00a0 Your fingers\u00a0should not overlap in any way, but instead should be parallel to each other and pointing forward.\u00a0 Bring your thumb down so that it\u2019s in a tucked position.\u00a0 It should now be parallel to your pointer finger, and also pointing forward.\u00a0 (We don\u2019t want any bent-back or broken thumbs in Knife Fists now, do we?)\u00a0 Proceed to jab your hands in a rapid, pistoning motion into your opponent\u2019s ribs.\u00a0 Channel your inner angry robot while shouting, \u201cKnife Fists!\u00a0 Knife Fists!\u201d \u00a0Surprise is key here, so it\u2019s suggested that you approach your opponent from behind when employing this technique.\u00a0 If that\u2019s not possible, then a rapid frontal or side assault is recommended.\u00a0 Do not shout \u201cKnife Fists!\u00a0Knife Fists!\u201d until you are actually striking your opponent\u2019s ribs.\u00a0 Again, surprise is key.\u00a0 And if they think you\u2019re coming in for a hug, what-feels-like-knives-in-their-ribs will totally surprise them.\u00a0 SURPRISE!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And there!\u00a0 You are a successful student of Knife Fists 101.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
