Ever heard this expression: Plus\/Delta?\u00a0 It\u2019s used mostly in classroom or business meeting settings, at the end typically, to determine what worked, what didn\u2019t, opportunities for improvement blahbity, blah, BLAH!<\/span><\/p>\n

Well…before we get into the NEW New Year\u2019s resolutions, I think it\u2019s important to do a Plus\/Delta on the OLD New Year’s resolutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you recall, my 2013 New Year\u2019s Resolutions were to: 1) complete the entire P-90X series and 2) to get a job.<\/span><\/p>\n

And?<\/span><\/p>\n

Done!<\/span><\/p>\n

What?!?<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, done.\u00a0 Thank Heaven.\u00a0 Especially for that P-90X bullcrap.\u00a0 That was the most excruciating thing EVER.\u00a0 (Perhaps the X actually stands for \u2018X\u2019cruciating?!?\u00a0 It must.\u00a0 It absolutely must.)\u00a0 Also?\u00a0\u00a0I believe I am\u00a0the only person.\u00a0 In the world.\u00a0 To ever GAIN WEIGHT on the program.\u00a0 Needless to say, I will not be resoluting anything remotely similar this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for the job portion of the resolutions, I would argue that I HAVE a job.\u00a0 As a blogger.\u00a0 No…perhaps it’s not one of those corporate thingamabobs all y\u2019all judge your success by.\u00a0 But I did make a whopping $4.12 through the Google Ads I have on my blog.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I know, right?\u00a0 I\u2019m surprised too that I\u2019m still driving my 12-year-old Honda Odyssey minivan instead of a new Beemer or some such\u00a0with that kind of loot burning a hole in my back pocket.\u00a0 But perhaps there may\u00a0have been a flaw in my Google-Ads-Plan from the start.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The flaw is that I, bein\u2019 all blog-hostess-with-the-mostess, offered to deliver my blog directly to your inbox.\u00a0 An offer which most of you took me up on.\u00a0 [Sigh<\/em>.\u00a0 Darn\u00a0\u201cpretty face and generous nature\u201d gettin\u2019 me into trouble yet again.]\u00a0 As a consequence, no one actually WENT to my blog.\u00a0 Therefore no one actually clicked on the ads ON my blog — which would have earned me money.<\/span><\/p>\n

But, really.\u00a0 That\u2019s ok.\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry about me.\u00a0 [She says while blinking back tears and stifling sobs with one dainty forefinger pressed to her lips.<\/em>]\u00a0 Because most of the ads were for raised potty seats anyway.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

By the way – do I blog a LOT about raised potty seats?\u00a0 Because there\u2019s a program that runs behinds Google Ads that reads through my\u00a0blog entry and subsequently posts corresponding ads based on\u00a0blog content.\u00a0 So I must be blogging a LOT about raised potty seats.\u00a0 In fact, I AM blogging a lot about raised potty seats.\u00a0 My blogs are PACKED with insightful, witty comments\u00a0about raised potty seats.\u00a0 You should visit my\u00a0blog often for just this type of content.<\/span><\/p>\n
