Hey!\u00a0 I know what we could do!\u00a0 We could get a movie theme going here.\u00a0 We’re fun!\u00a0 How fun are we?!\u00a0 Yippeeeeee!!!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Ok, I’ll go first…<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw Catching Fire last\u00a0week-end with Sissy (the requirement was that she had to finish the book before she saw the movie.\u00a0 Aren\u2019t I a good mother!?\u00a0 And me?\u00a0 I read those books like two years ago.\u00a0 \u2018Cause that\u2019s what we 40-somethings do.\u00a0 We read tween books to see what the hubbub is all about.\u00a0 I also read the Twilight stuff.\u00a0 Sue me.)<\/span><\/p>\n

We met up with Sissy\u2019s friend and the friend\u2019s mother at the theater for a fun Mother\/Daughter Catching Fire afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

But in some weird unspoken seating arrangement scenario, Sissy ended up sitting with her friend on the RIGHT side of the friend\u2019s mother.\u00a0 So I was left to sit to the LEFT of the friend\u2019s mother.\u00a0 I had envisioned more of a mothers-bookending-tweens scenario, with each mother on the outside of her respective tween, instead of what actually went down.\u00a0 Sissy and I were book-ending THEM!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Whatevs.<\/span><\/p>\n

And by ‘whatevs’ I mean I actually spent\u00a0the entire movie not quite getting over how weird the seating arrangement was.<\/span><\/p>\n

And when I wasn\u2019t downward-spiraling\u00a0over that, I was trying to figure out the knit and crochet patterns for all of Katniss\u2019 awesome top layers – especially those worn before and during the Victory Tour.\u00a0 There may have even been some rough homespun type duds I\u2019d like to reproduce from that Quarter Quell business.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And when I wasn\u2019t enamored with the chunky-knits, I was\u2026acckkk!….CRYING!<\/span><\/p>\n

What?!\u00a0 WHAT??\u00a0 This is a TWEEN movie and I was with TWEENS.\u00a0 Why was I<\/em><\/strong> crying?!?\u00a0 And the tweens weren’t?\u00a0 (Or were they?\u00a0\u00a0I couldn’t quite…see them.)\u00a0\u00a0 S<\/span><\/span>uffice to say the whole crying thing was\u00a0ridiculous \u2013 especially that part about going into stealth tears mode; trying to HIDE my tears from the other mother.\u00a0 Who wasn\u2019t crying.\u00a0 At all.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Nor did she seem to be worried about crochet patterns.\u00a0 Or seating arrangements.\u00a0 Or hiding her tears from ME!\u00a0\u00a0Some people seem to breeze through life.\u00a0 And the odds are ever in their favor.<\/span><\/p>\n
