{"id":1639,"date":"2013-07-23T17:33:45","date_gmt":"2013-07-23T23:33:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1639"},"modified":"2013-07-23T17:33:45","modified_gmt":"2013-07-23T23:33:45","slug":"we-are-the-champions-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1639","title":{"rendered":"We are the champions (Part 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My doubles partner &amp; I won our tennis match last night!<\/p>\n<p>I thought my <a href=\"http:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1563\">first win<\/a> was a fluke (well, that&#8230;and the other team was DRUNK).\u00a0 But after yet ANOTHER win?!?\u00a0\u00a0Methinks some mad tennis skillzzz lurk beneath this mild-mannered Home Mom exterior.\u00a0\u00a0(Home Mom in the house!\u00a0 Wha-up, wha-up!!)<\/p>\n<p>Full confession though:\u00a0one of the chicks on the other team is a hospice nurse and came straight from work.\u00a0\u00a0While she brought a change of tennis clothes, she had\u00a0forgotten her court shoes.\u00a0\u00a0But since she&#8217;s a HOSPICE NURSE, far be it from me to say\u00a0anything negative about her.\u00a0 In fact, she\u00a0was really quite fun and lovely, but\u00a0she ended up playing the entire match IN HER WORK SHOES!<\/p>\n<p>And her partner? \u00a0Kept holding out her hand every time we changed sides-of-the-court to show us how shaky she\u00a0was. \u00a0Apparently she was in the midst of a hypoglycemic attack.\u00a0 She mentioned several times how she should have eaten before the match. \u00a0In all fairness we DID ask if she wanted to stop the match so she could eat some faux fruit gummies.\u00a0\u00a0But she was content to bull through it.\u00a0 So we accommodated her by opening up a\u00a0fresh can of\u00a0whoop-a$$;\u00a0Within the hour we\u00a0beat\u00a0the pants off Shaky McGee and Nurse Shoes McGoo.<\/p>\n<p>Mad skillzzz?? \u00a0Or the perfect storm of inappropriate shoes and bad\u00a0eating habits?!?<\/p>\n<p>Who cares!\u00a0\u00a0I&#8217;m not proud. \u00a0I&#8217;ll take the win any way I can get it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My doubles partner &amp; I won our tennis match last night!
