Have you seen the car decals with the stick-figure families on them?\u00a0\u00a0Usually they\u00a0display the likes\/interests of each person in the family.\u00a0 For example, the father is holding a fishing pole, the mom is talking on a cellphone and carrying a brief case,\u00a0the boy\u00a0is wearing a ball cap and holding\u00a0a bat,\u00a0the girl is dressed in\u00a0a tu-tu and ballet shoes.\u00a0 Lined up beside the ballerina are\u00a0two regular cats and one cat-with-wings\u00a0indicating\u00a0the family currently has two living cats and one deceased cat.<\/p>\n

Can I get a big groan and eye-roll right about now?\u00a0\u00a0Especially for the cat line-up?!?<\/p>\n

Thank you.<\/p>\n

As if those stick-figure decals aren’t\u00a0bad enough…yesterday Hubby and I spotted THE WORST one\u00a0of all time, space, galaxies and black holes.\u00a0 When\u00a0Hubby first\u00a0saw it,\u00a0he spontaneously erupted with,\u00a0“Good Lord!\u00a0\u00a0That is nerdy as hell!!!”<\/p>\n

Any guesses on what it\u00a0was?<\/p>\n

It was a family line-up symbolized by Star Wars characters.<\/p>\n

There was Darth Vader, Lady Darth Vader (Queen Vader??), Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and R2D2.<\/p>\n

The Top 5\u00a0unanswered questions for me at this point would be:<\/p>\n

  1. How does something like this go down?\u00a0 Does the Dad give a Star Wars family decal\u00a0to the Mom for Mother’s Day?\u00a0 Does the Mom\u00a0give it to the Dad for his birthday??\u00a0 Is the whole FAMILY in on it, or just the parents?<\/li>\n
  2. Speaking of the parents, did they\u00a0meet at that big, annual, Sci-Fi nerdfest in L.A. and it’s been\u00a0true love ever since\u00a0but\u00a0their kids\u00a0think they’re hopeless dorks and\u00a0are forced to cringe and duck every time they get into the Death Star-mobile-with-the-Star-Wars-family-decal-on-the-back??<\/li>\n
  3. Does the father in this family\u00a0REALLY picture himself as Darth Vader?\u00a0 In which case he must be the meanest, heaviest breathin’ Dad in the land.\u00a0 He will cut your hand off without a backwards glance.<\/li>\n
  4. And WHO is the\u00a0Lady Vader chick all-dressed-in-white?\u00a0 If you’re going down the\u00a0path of representing yourself as a Star Wars character,\u00a0at least make it REAL Star Wars character.\u00a0 Because\u00a0made-up characters just compound the nerd-error.\u00a0\u00a0Unless I’m in\u00a0WAY over my head and have just revealed\u00a0my Star Wars ignorance because there actually IS\u00a0a Queen Vader??\u00a0 And if you know the answer to this question,\u00a0you must be part of this Star Wars family because you’re a DORK!<\/li>\n
  5. And really, how shitty does the youngest person in this family feel being\u00a0represented by a short, squat\u00a0robot??\u00a0 ‘Cause let’s face it –\u00a0R2D2 is NOT the\u00a0high-end, gold robot\u00a0with the\u00a0lovely English accent.\u00a0 He’s the\u00a0wacky, comic-relief robot.\u00a0\u00a0Hubby insists that R2D2 is meant to represent the family dog.\u00a0 I insist that either they have a new baby which makes only\u00a0zany beep-boop noises.\u00a0 OR?\u00a0 A family\u00a0like this may actually HAVE a robot.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    So many questions.\u00a0 So little time.\u00a0\u00a0Who knows the answers?<\/p>\n

    Obi-Wan Kenobi…Do YOU\u00a0know??!<\/p>\n
