{"id":1623,"date":"2013-07-18T14:05:12","date_gmt":"2013-07-18T20:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1623"},"modified":"2013-07-18T14:05:12","modified_gmt":"2013-07-18T20:05:12","slug":"the-shirt-off-my-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1623","title":{"rendered":"The Shirt Off My Back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got a call from a recruiter.\u00a0 She wanted me to come downtown and take a test for a job her company was considering me for.<\/p>\n<p>The potential job was an hour commute EACH\u00a0WAY via public transportation (and 8\u00a0bucks I might add).\u00a0 And it paid $25,000 less than the last job I had.<\/p>\n<p>Hmmmmm&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Me no like-y any of it.<\/p>\n<p>And when I expressed my doubts to Hubby about not wanting to go to the testing, much less even wanting the JOB,\u00a0he replied, &#8220;If you really don&#8217;t want the job, then wear a shirt to the testing that says: WILL STRIP FOR BEER.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>ME:\u00a0 &#8220;Great plan, Sweetie!\u00a0 But what if they call my bluff by handing me a Coors Light at the testing door?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>HIM:\u00a0\u00a0&#8220;Tell them that it isn&#8217;t actually your shirt.\u00a0 Tell them it&#8217;s your sister&#8217;s shirt and that you lost YOUR shirt at the bar last night.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To the Potential Employer Who Made Me Do Testing the Likes of Which I Haven&#8217;t Seen Since I Graduated from College and\u00a0Temp Agencies Made Me Take\u00a0TYPING Tests:\u00a0 This isn&#8217;t MY shirt!\u00a0 It&#8217;s my sister&#8217;s.\u00a0 I lost MY shirt at the bar last night!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I got a call from a recruiter.\u00a0 She wanted me to come downtown and take a test for a job her company was considering me for.
