Or as I sing it: sleepytime, sleepytime, sleep-sleep-sleepytime.\u00a0 Sleepytii-iiiiiime!<\/p>\n

Because you know why?\u00a0 Ya know what?\u00a0 Ya know WHO??\u00a0 Who\u00a0didn’t get the memo about sleeping late now that it’s summertime?!?<\/p>\n

THE DOG!<\/p>\n

He still wakes up at 5:45 every morning.<\/p>\n

Which means I <\/span><\/em><\/strong>wake up at 5:45 every morning.\u00a0 There may\u00a0be some loud-talking (even Mean Mom knows that it’s too early for yelling) “encouraging” the dog to go back to bed.<\/p>\n

That\u00a0never works.<\/p>\n

So then the plan becomes\u00a0keeping the dog up LATE so that he sleeps\u00a0LATE.<\/p>\n

But THAT\u00a0really only\u00a0works in the movies.\u00a0\u00a0Here in the real world, I find I’m so exhausted from all my running hither and yon to various SPORTS<\/a> activities — and from something else.\u00a0 Now what was it?\u00a0 What was it again??\u00a0 Oh!\u00a0 THAT’S RIGHT!\u00a0\u00a0FROM GETTING UP SUPER EARLY!!!<\/span><\/strong> <\/em>— that by 9:30 pm I’m falling asleep on the couch and only waking up when my Nook crashes into my mouth for the umpteenth time.\u00a0 [I am NEVER going to get through this Game of Thorns\u00a0series.\u00a0 (THORNS??\u00a0 <\/a>Really,\u00a0Sweetie?!?)\u00a0\u00a0I have three THOUSAND pages left and only two weeks to read them in.\u00a0 And even if I hammer-down on the reading, I’d have to read 200+ pages per day.\u00a0 It’s hard, really hard, to read that much with your eyes closed and your lip all bloody.]<\/p>\n

And then?\u00a0 Then the\u00a0Nook misses my lip and clocks the\u00a0bridge of my nose instead and I decide it’s not\u00a0worth it.\u00a0 And I stumble off to bed.\u00a0 Screw the dog and his early-to-bed-early-to-rise nonsense.\u00a0 It would be one thing if it were making ME\u00a0healthy, wealthy and wise.\u00a0 But it’s not.<\/p>\n

So\u00a0SCREW IT!\u00a0 And the dog.\u00a0 AND\u00a0the early-morning horse he rode in on.<\/p>\n

Because it’s sleeeeepy tiiiiiime [getting sleepy<\/em>] sleeeeeeeeeeeepy tiiiiiimmmmme [getting VERY sleepy<\/em>] sleeeeeeeep, sleeeepppppp zzzzzz\u00a0 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz<\/p>\n
