{"id":1280,"date":"2013-05-02T14:28:01","date_gmt":"2013-05-02T20:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1280"},"modified":"2013-05-02T14:28:01","modified_gmt":"2013-05-02T20:28:01","slug":"dream-big-boy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newstayathomemom.com\/?p=1280","title":{"rendered":"Dream Big, Boy!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>As my son was falling asleep the other night (I LOVE these conversations.\u00a0 They&#8217;re the BEST!) he asked me what\u00a0I do with all my time at home while Teddy (the new puppy) is sleeping.<\/p>\n<p>I gave him a rundown of things like: exercise, clean bathrooms, do laundry, bake desserts,\u00a0vacuum,\u00a0volunteer at school, grocery shop, meet friends for lunch, knit.\u00a0 You know &#8211; all the exciting things we Home Moms do.\u00a0 (<em>Home Mom in the house&#8230;keepin&#8217; it real.\u00a0 Whoop, whoop!!!)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sensing perhaps that this list wasn&#8217;t fulfilling in some &#8220;former high-powered Marketing Executive&#8221; sort of way, he asked what I REALLY wanted to be doing.\u00a0 You know.\u00a0 To have a job.<\/p>\n<p>And I confessed that I&#8217;d really like to have a job blogging.<\/p>\n<p>There was such a long pause after that, that I thought he&#8217;d fallen asleep.<\/p>\n<p>But then he said, &#8220;is that even real?\u00a0\u00a0Is that even a real thing?!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hmmmm&#8230;this coming from a boy, who &#8211; when he was three &#8211; wanted to be a &#8220;motorcycle guy who sang opera and had an iron claw.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Yes.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a real thing.<\/p>\n<p>Dream big, boy!\u00a0 Dream big!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As my son was falling asleep the other night (I LOVE these conversations.\u00a0 They&#8217;re the BEST!) he asked me what\u00a0I do with all my time at home while Teddy (the new puppy) is sleeping.
